December 21, 2007 Steps: 6900 Temp 35C

Well the boys are done school now till January 15th. Jennifer had to go to school today to work on report cards and of course she only has a few days off her university classes. At least she has a bit of a break to catch her breath. I told the boys last night that they weren’t to show up before 9:00 AM this morning. We mucked around here for awhile and then took the boys to Lotus to do their Christmas shopping. Asked what they thought would be a good present for Mommy and Daddy and it was running shoes for Daddy and a hat for Mommy. Well we talked them out of that but what we got wasn’t much better. They saw a ping pong set so thought that would be a good thing as there is a ping pong table in the exercise room. Then it was a DVD – The Shaggy Dog. Lastly for Mommy, Oliver chose a black head band with sparkly “diamonds” on it, 2 little frosted pink barrette things and a lovely blue flowery scrunchie for her pony tail. It is so cool to go shopping with kids. We met Gone on the street as we neared the apartment so the kids went home with him for awhile. Oliver was soon back to wrap presents. We had no scotch tape so used medical tape and made some “snowflake” gift cards. Now that took me back a few years. I was having trouble remembering how to do it. Gone came over and cooked supper, much to Tom’s delight. Jennifer showed up after class at 9:00 PM. Oliver was already in bed by then and once again Nicky said he’d stay “tomorrow”.

We are just salivating here whenever you describe your amazing meals. Bet you're not thinking about bacon and tomato sandwiches yet.
We're back from Hawaii now and getting caught up on your blogs. Great life you have over there!

Just a heads up for you - you have a link on your blog site to a porn site. I thought I was getting more of your messages and instead got some pretty interesting pictures...none of you among them.

Happy Birthday, Linda!

Love, Glen & Lois

So nice to "hear" from you! Miss you next door and can't believe you won't be home for 2 more months!! Seems way too long, but we hope you are having a great time. I STILL think you are wonderful grandparents--I would be so exhausted and missing MY routine!! I hope you both are appreciated!!
Rainy/snowy here. No power outages yet?? We keep our fingers crossed.
Christmas was wonderful.A few days in Vancouver and then all the kids came here for 3 days. Lots of fun especially with Madi. She is beautiful and so much fun. Always smiling!! We had such a good time.
Everyone is fine here. Dick and Vern are talking all the time about their golfing trip to Scotland. If you didn't know, they are going with both their brothers for a golf trip in Scotland. It has been a dream of Dick's for years. They are like little kids--already planning what to wear/take/stay etc. Quite cute.
I am going over to Vancouver on Friday for the night and to see Madi in her "daddy and I" swim class. Can hardly wait. I bought a cute littel swimsuit for her. So much fun.
Jo and Gid's daughter, Kate is expecting May 1st.
Take care and know that we are thinking of you both.
love from,
margo
